What Vernex POS is
Vernex POS is a point of sale program for shops. It runs on the shop's own computer. Your sales, stock, customers, staff and accounts stay in a database on that computer. We do not receive them, and we cannot see them.
What we collect
To check that a subscription is paid, the app asks you to sign in with Google. We ask Google for only two things, the openid and email scopes. This gives us your email address and whether Google has verified it. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data, and we never receive your Google password.
Our licence server stores:
- your email address,
- your plan (monthly or yearly) and the date your subscription ends,
- an identifier for your computer (a one-way hash made from the computer's ID, from which the ID cannot be recovered),
- the time of the last licence check and the app version.
Why we use it
Only to confirm that your subscription is active, to allow the licence on the number of computers you paid for, and to contact you about your subscription. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell or rent it.
Who we share it with
Our licence server runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data for us. Google handles the sign-in. We share it with nobody else, unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
While you are a customer. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove your email and computer identifier from the licence server, and the app stops working on that computer.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Vernex POS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and contact
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Email [email protected].
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
